چکیده
Abstract Identifying biologically relevant substrates for protein kinases is a critical step in understanding the function of these clinically important enzymes. Traditional approaches for kinase substrate identification are expensive, slow, and lack sensitivity. For this reason, many kinase activity assays employ generic substrates or peptides that decrease the reliability of these assays for drug development. We describe here the development and validation of a rapid and sensitive microarray-based kinase substrate identification technology, which enables parallel screening of kinases against thousands of potential native protein substrates. This paper describes the validation of this approach and use of the resulting data for pathway mapping.

متن کاملThe Development and Validation of Language Learner Beliefs Scale in the Iranian EFL Context
Unlike teacher beliefs, there has been a dearth of study regarding EFL learner beliefs. The reason can be that Horwitz (1987) and the existing literature has predominantly been in an ESL context. The present study reports the development and validation of a scale to measure the learner beliefs about language learning in Iranian EFL contexts. Using a combination of verbal creativity method, inte...

متن کاملThe Development and Validation of New Equations for Prediction of the Performance of Tangential Cyclones
New equations have been developed to predict the effect of geometrical dimensions of tangential cyclones on their operational performances. To check the validity of the derived equations, an experimental apparatus was set up and some experimental work was performed. It was observed that the experimental results confirm properly the theoretical predictions.
